On October 1, the cumulative production of Sebei Gas Field, which is operated by PetroChina Qinghai Oilfield Company, exceeded 100 billion cubic meters (BCM). Located in the northeastern part of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, Sebei Gas Field is the highest-altitude gas production area in the country, facing harsh conditions for natural gas exploitation. It serves as a gas source for the Se-Ning-Lan Pipeline and is one of the main alternative gas sources for the West-to-East Gas Pipeline. Over the years, gas from Sebei has continuously benefited tens of millions of people in Gansu, Qinghai and Xizang Autonomous Region.
